A ban is likely

To be imposed on

The use of

Apocryphal concoctions,

With

Charlatans and apothecaries  

Agreeing to

An unconditional makeover

For public good

An emaciated hope,

Perspiring,

Panting,

Groaning

Under the weight of

An old wound,

Hears a promise   

Being read out

From a political manifesto,

And grimaces

Before slipping into

A soporific wait

For an ensemble of masks

To enter the cave of

A long-standing gangrene
